Software Interface Design Offered
August 28, 2001
Beachwood, Ohio - August 28, 2001 - Web site design and development client Managment Reports International (www.mrisystem.com) approached WRIS with a unique challenge for their Frontier project: Create a user interface for web-based real estate managment software that can be completely customized by the end user but still maintain structural and graphical integrity. WRIS and MRI worked closely to engineer a solution for Frontier that is as attractive as it is powerful and flexible. From WRIS designer Kevin DeCapite's perspective, the result is particularly interesting because "the limitations of the project were daunting at first. MRI's people spent time and energy programming this all-encompassing product in a system we did not have direct access to or working familiarity with. We were asked to strictly limit the number of graphics we used and if we used any, they needed to be color-palette independent." The approach Kevin took with Frontier relied heavily on content placement, color, and a few dynamically-generated images. "Both sides were really happy with the outcome," said DeCapite.
