The mission of the Gates Mills Land Conservancy is to preserve natural, recreational and scenic resources by acquiring land and conservation easements in the Village of Gates Mills and the Chagrin River Valley. The main purpose of the newly designed website is to provide the public with helpful information about the Conservancy including their detailed preservation strategy, frequently asked questions and interactive maps of preserved lands. The maps were programmed using Yahoo Maps API which creates an easy-to-use map interface with a partially transparent overlay of the conserved land. Downloadable forms are available and encourage site visitors to become members, make donations and sign up for volunteer positions.
